I picked this problem because the device that's supposed to protect a $14,000 refrigerator usually depends on two things in the building most likely to fail — the Wi-Fi and Calibration.

The fridge the state doesn't cover

If you're a VFC provider, Ohio gives you a logger for the state-supplied vaccine. It does not cover the refrigerator holding the inventory you bought — private-stock flu and Shingrix, GLP-1s, insulin, allergen extracts, compounded preparations. That's the fridge you'd replace out of pocket.

Independent 4G Connectivity

Our hardware bypasses local Wi-Fi networks entirely. Each unit ships with a pre-configured LTE-M cellular modem, transmitting encrypted telemetry directly to our secure cloud infrastructure.

What happens at 2 a.m.

When a probe reads out of range — or the unit loses power — the system places a phone call. Not a push notification that sleeps with your phone. It calls, then texts, then calls the next person on your list.

Alert timing is being measured through August 2026. The p95 figure publishes here with the method.

The cellular module carries FCC grant XMR2023EG800QNA. Finished-device authorization — Part 15B, labeling, antenna per grant — is in progress and will be complete before any unit ships. No hardware leaves here before that is done.

Standard clinical range (-30°C to +60°C) and Ultra-Low capabilities (-90°C to +200°C). Platinum RTD probe in a glass-bead thermal buffer, on a wire passing through the door gasket. Radio outside the cabinet.

Mains with battery backup. Reports on power loss.

Quectel EG800Q-NA, LTE-M bands 12/13. Its own SIM. No gateway, no facility Wi-Fi.
